A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Advance Planning Study. Interstate 82, M.P. 38.27 to M.P. 43, Parker to Prosser. Yakima and Benton Counties, District No. 5, Washington
The project consists of the location and construction of a forty-two mile segment of State Route 82 (Interstate Route 82), about 80% of which lies in Yakima County, the remainder in Benton County. In the first fifteen miles the route will displace a number of rural homes and will encroach to some degree upon the wildlife habitat adjacent to the river. Throughout the remaining twenty-seven miles, potential environmental impacts range from displacement of a fairly large number of homes to removal of substantial acreages of productive farm land.
