A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Forschung Strassenbau und Strassenverkehrstechnik, Heft 398, 1983 (Research on Road Construction and Road Traffic Techniques, Vol. 398, 1983)
The necessity to consider environmental influences in highway planning requires the analysis and the assessment of the consequences caused by highway planning measures. To this end, an operational evaluation procedure was developed on a multi-criteria analysis base and examined with respect to practical application. In particular, quantifying and evaluation posibilities are given for 6 traffic-related criteria and 10 environmental and planning-related criteria. In contrast to a pure environmental impact analysis for these criteria all positively and negatively consequences and the considered potentials can be derived on the basis of a network and geographical point of view.
