The booklet, an updated and revised edition of a report released in 1972, provides the actual number of new housing completions for each year, arranged by Borough and for New York City as a whole. The figures are then broken down to separate private, public, and publicly-aided dwelling units. A further division of private housing provides the number of units by one-family, two-family, and three or more family type of structures. The booklet differs from most previous similar publications in that the publicly-aided dwelling units are treated as a separate category.
