In order to study the propagation of blast waves in tunnel systems a project started 1995 with tests in full scale and model scale. In this phase a strengthened container was placed at three different positions in the tunnel system. The purpose was not to study the structural response of the container but to study the pressure build up at this disturbance in the tunnel system and to compare results from full scale, model scale and from simulations with Autodyne3D. The test set up was, at large, the same as in earlier phases and 125 kg ANFO was the standard charge in full scale and 12 g plastic explosive in the model. Comparisons between results from model scale tests and full scale tests show good agreement with a little higher pressure in the model, which had plane surfaces. The agreement between simulations and tests was also excellent.
