The document presents statistics on indicators of housing and neighborhood quality from the 1975 Annual Housing Survey for the United States by inside and outside standard metropolitan statistical areas and each of the four geographic regions. Statistics are also presented on characteristics of vacant housing units for the United States. Detailed tables provide data for owner and renter-occupied units on the following: Occupancy and utilization characteristics and services available; selected structural characteristics by deficiencies; failures in plumbing facilities and equipment; and selected neighborhood characteristics. These data are shown for all occupied housing units and for housing units with Negro and Spanish origin household head.
