Interstate Highway 5(SR 5), Columbia River Bridge to Burnt Bridge Creek (Vancouver Freeway), Washington

The project proposes six-laning a section of an existing four-lane freeway, updating the interchanges and providing for a wider median. Directly effected is the City of Vancouver in Clark County, Washington. The environmental impact of this project on the community and adjacent areas is softened considerably as a result of the proposal following the existing highway corridor. Of major impact will be the displacement of persons and businesses who will be forced to relocate because of the widened corridor. Other effects are the proposed routes involvement with two Vancouver City parks, namely Marshall and Leverich, which are covered in section 4(f) Determinations attached to this report.
