High Pressure Mechanical Properties of Tugboat Coral
Project Tugboat is a chemical explosive excavation experiment designed to (1) provide a light draft boat harbor at Kawaihae Bay, Hawaii, (2) test the applicability of cratering for harbor construction, and (3) provide technical data useful for the design of nuclear harbor excavation experiments. Mechanical properties of the coral-sea water detonation medium was studied in order that calculations could be made of the phenomenology of the event.
