Archeological Survey in the Eastern Tucson Basin: Saguaro National Monument, Rincon Mountain Unit, Tanque Verde Ridge, Rincon Creek, Mica Mountain Areas. Volume 3
A total of 280 sites was recorded. Sites with evidence of Paleo-Indian, Archaic and Hohokam occupation were recorded along with sites occupied in the proto-historic and historic periods. Volume III reports the results of the second season of archeological survey in the Tanque Verde Ridge, Rincon Creek and Mica Mountain areas of Saguaro National Monument. Prehistoric sites include rockshelters, bedrock mortar sites, lithic quarries, rock art sites, agricultural field systems, masonry feature sites and artifact scatters. The historic sites include mines and mining camps, homesteads and ranching sites. This volume includes a summary of the archeology and management recommendations.
