Archeological/Historical Review of the Garrison Creek Watershed and the Effect of Channel Construction on Cultural Resources
A pedestrian survey was conducted during early 1983 along the margins of the proposed channel improvements to the west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, within the Garrison Creek Watershed bottoms, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. As a result of this work, 40 archaeological sites and 18 'find localities' were recorded. The sites range in age from the Late Archaic/Woodland times up through the Late Historic period.
