The project 'Building Climatology in Vietnam' aims to study the influence of climate factors on dwellings in warm-humid climates such as the relations between architectural characteristics and construciton matters. In the project the following is intended to be studied: Architectural characteristics in traditional vietnamese housing; Indoor climate conditions in new Vietnamese residential houses by interviews, observations and measurements (temperature, moisture content etc); Thermal performance of buildings by computer simulations, model tests; for example smoke, water channel and wind tunnel tests; Indoor climate limits for comfort and endurance; Hypothesis on building design. Recommendations on architecture and lay-out problems in sub-ropic climates.
