Route 100, St. Louis County, Franklin County Line East to Ellisville
The project is located in St. Louis County, Missouri between the communities of Gray Summit in Franklin County and Ellisville in St. Louis County. The purpose of this project is part of the planned improvement on Route 100 to provide a dual lane highway from the Interstate 244 westerly to state Route T. This project will replace the existing Route 100 which has very poor horizontal and vertical alignment. The positive effect this project would have on the environment is to provide a safe and modern highway facility which would permit the free flow of traffic. The adverse effect this project would have on the natural environment would be the necessary taking of the right-of-way to construct the proposed improvement. The land use is primarily agricultural in nature and one barn will be taken with the right-of-way acquisition. The proposed improvement is not expected to have a significant impact on the behavior of wildlife in the area.
