Practical Applications of Floating Breakwaters for Small Craft Harbors
The application and limitations of floating breakwaters for small craft harbors are analyzed. Recommendations are given for the use of this type of harbor protection. The development of a structure to suit the economics and needs of the state of Alaska is described. Three projects using the same basic configuration were completed. Various types of anchoring, connections, and design details were used. User acceptance and future users are explained. (Modified author abstract)
