A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Project S-2607(101), Elmore County, Alabama
The purpose of the project is to eliminate three unsafe horizontal curves and a sub-standard bridge of treated timber substructure. Total length of the project is 1.4 miles. The project will necessarily require wooded areas consisting mostly of pines with a few hardwood. There will be a natural growth in traffic on the new facility and automobile and truck fumes and noise might be expected to increase. There will also be additional noise due to roadway and bridge machinery during the construction period.
