Klimat i Oisolerade Byggnader foer Slaktsvin (Climate in Uninsulated Buildings for Growing; Finishing Pigs)
Four trials with fattening pigs were carried out at the Department of Agricultural Biosystems and Technolgy (JBT). The investigations compared air environment in an uninsulated building with an insulated building and also different kinds of pen and hut designs in the uninsulated building. The trials were carried out at the research station Alnarps Sodergard, where the department investigates building, energy and environment techniques concerning animal buildings. In addition, investigations into several ventilation and environment topics were carried out during periods without animals in the uninsulated building. These investigations concerned sun load and natural ventilation in the building and in the huts. During the last trial, the release of ammonia, carbon dioxide and moisture from beddings was investigated. The air environment in another type of uninsulated building for finishing pigs was also investigated. This building had natural ventilation through space boarding and an open ridge.
