Center City Transportation Project. Joint Development
Joint development, very broadly defined, is the use of a particular land area for more than one purpose. The focus in this guideline paper is on the joint development of transportation improvements and other land uses in center city areas. The essential element of this development process is the deliberate linking of the planning and implementation of any transportation improvement with the planning and implementation of other land use changes in the area in a manner which takes full advantage of the economic, social and urban design benefits of the transportation improvement.
