Annual Housing Survey: 1980. Housing Characteristics for Selected Metropolitan Areas: Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, Pa.-N.J. Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area
This report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1980 Annual Housing Survey conducted in Allentown - Bethlehem, Pa., and Easton, N.J. The report contains five sections. Data in each section are presented for all roles, for black households and for Spanish - origin. Part A presents data on general housing characteristics, including information on selected housing characteristics for 1980, 1976, and 1970. Data are presented on characteristics of new construction units and 1976 characteristics of housing units removed from the housing inventory, as well as characteristics of vacant - year - round housing units. Characteristics for housing units are broken down by black and Hispanic householders. Part B deals with indicators of housing and neighborhood quality: data for owner - and renter - occupied housing units as well as characteristics for owner - and renter - occupied housing units with black and Hispanic householders. Part C addresses financial characteristics: characteristics of owner - and renter - occupied housing units by income of the family or primary individual, as well as characteristics for owner - occupied, one - unit structures by value of property. Characteristics of renter - occupied units are presented by gross rent. Data in this part are also broken down by black and Hispanic householders. Part D presents data on characteristics of all occupied housing units and units occupied by recent movers, as well as income of families and primary individuals by purchase price and amount of mortgage. Part F gives cross - tabulations of the indicators of housing and neighborhood quality by income, value, and gross rent. Maps are included. One appendix describes the geographic area classifications, definitions and explanations of the subjects covered in the report, and the facsimile of the questionnaire. Anotherappendix presents information on sample design, estimation, and accuracy of the data.
