This study of Alabama River System Industrial Site potential sets priorities to facilitate economic gains available as a result of the combination of shifting national priorities and the expansion of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Project. Opportunities for development of River ports and new industrial sites on Alabama's river system are here now and this study is intended to place eight (8) selected Alabama regions in a position to expand their industrial base in the direction of waterborne commerce.
