Prestressed Concrete Columns under Concentric and Eccentric Loadings
Twenty-four prestressed concrete columns were tested to failure. The effects of lateral reinforcement (ties or spirals), eccentricity of loading, and full or partial prestressing are discussed. The ultimate strengths of the columns as determined by the tests are compared with the theoretical values as predicted by the PCI method and a method proposed by the researchers. (BPR abstract)
