Evaluation of the Safety of Underground Blasting Procedures
This study provides recommendations for improved safety in underground blasting procedures based on in-mine observations of blasting practices in 30 underground metal, nonmetal, and coal mines; analyses of blasting accidents since 1970; and existing State and Federal regulations pertaining to the storage and use of explosives.
