Predicting Temperature Rise in Fire Protected Structural Steel Beams
The FIRES-T3 computer program to evaluate heat transfer into and through fire protected steel elements exposed to fire is introduced. Specifically, temperature rise in steel floor beams protected with spray-applied fireproofing is predicted during exposure to a standardized fire. Three examples are presented together with appropriate graphs and figures.
