A Study of Storm-Water Inlet Capacities
The inlet capacities of the most used six storm-water inlets for highways in Louisiana were determined by full scale model tests. The longitudinal slope of the street ranges from 0.005 to 0.03, wheras the crown slope from 0.015 to 0.080. The testing flume surface has a roughness of Manning's 'n' of approximately 0.01. One inlet was studied for as-built street conditions. Inlet capacities for some sump conditions were also studied. (Author)
