Neighborhoods: Columbus Neighborhood Definition Study
The report outlines twenty-two neighborhoods as conceived by the residents. A physiographic analysis with in-depth analysis of two neighborhoods is presented, as well as a sample survey of 436 residents. Streets were frequently mentioned in the interviews as boundaries, and such things as differences in homes, level of public and private property maintenance, and changes in land use along with personal variables such as education and land use were mentioned. The major sections of the report discuss theoretical concepts of the neighborhood, methodology of the study, findings, and conclusions. The report suggests policies that the city might consider to further the sense of neighborhood identity.
