Hartland Local Flood Protection; Sebasticook River, Hartland, Maine; Detailed Project Report for Water Resources Development
This report presents the results of an investigation into the feasibility of constructing flood control improvements along the Sebasticook River in Hartland, Maine, to protect damages to an industrial building and to private homes along the river. The report presents an array of three alternative plans and evaluates each for their economic feasibility and federal interest and environmental acceptability. The report recommends construction of a $1.3 million plan of improvement and includes an environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for the recommended plan. The recommended includes construction of floodwalls and earth dikes to provide SPF protection, and include removal of a dam and construction of a water supply line. (Author)
