Grand Canyon National Park-Grand Canyon/Parashant National Monument Vegetation Classification and Mapping Project
The National Park Service Vegetation Inventory Program (NPS-VIP) is an effort by the National Park Service (NPS) to classify, describe, and map existing vegetation of national park units for the Natural Resource Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Program. Supported by the NPS-VIP, Grand Canyon National Park, NatureServe, Kass Green Associates, and Northern Arizona University have completed the classification and mapping of plant communities of Grand Canyon National Park and portions of Grand Canyon – Parashant National Monument under the administrative control of Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
