Bergstrom Arms Apartments, Austin, Travis County, Texas
Construction is proposed of a 98-unit apartment complex on a six-acre site on the North side of State Highway 71 directly across the highway from the main entrance to Bergstrom Air Force Base and slightly less than one mile from the Austin city limit line. The project is intended to make decent, safe, and sanitary housing available to low-income families at rents they can afford to pay. The majority of the occupants of the project would be lower-ranking Air Force personnel. Impact of the proposed project on the natural environment is expected to be negligible.
