It contains recommended procedures for evaluating the safety performance of various highway safety features. These procedures are based on a comprehensive literature review, an analysis of the state of the art for performance evaluation (including procedures adopted by foreign agencies), and the advice of a selected group of acknowledged experts. It is believed that the report will contribute toward providing safer highways.
