The first Center-to-Center Project Workshop on Earthquake Engineering Frontiers in Transportation Facilities was held in Buffalo, New York on March 10 and 11, 1997. Discussions at this first workshop on Transportation Facilities were structured around the technical areas of earthquake ground motions, soil behavior and response, underground structures, and the performance, analysis, and design and reconstruction of highway bridges during and following damaging earthquakes.
