Preliminary Open Space Plan, Pulaski-Saline Metropolitan Area
The report provides an inventory and analysis of land uses and statements of goals, policies and objectives for establishing a comprehensive open space system within the Pulaski-Saline metropolitan area. Lands for various uses, including conservation, recreation, transportation, special and multipurpose are identified and catagorized as vital open space elements to form an integral system. Specific emphasis is given to park and recreation needs related to present and projected population via quantitative standards and general planning factors and principles. Areas with special potential, including the Arkansas River Banks, flood problem areas and mining areas, are considered for multiple use. (Author)
