A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
General considerations for slope stability studies of riverbanks are described. A correlation type of study for the measured subsurface pore water pressure data and the corresponding river water elevation data indicate that an estimate for the subsurface pore water pressure under planned future river operations can be made. Slope stability analysis of riverbanks by the limit equilibrium method satisfying the three equations of statics is discussed.
