The project proposes to maintain the existing Federal deep-draft navigation project in Nueces County, Texas. The authorized project includes an outer bar channel 42 feet deep, a channel 40 feet deep about 31.2 miles long through Corpus Christi Bay to Corpus Christi and Viola, a branch channel 36 feet deep to LaQuinta, shallow draft channels to Ingleside and Port Aransas, and various turning basins and anchorage facilities.
