Noise Dosimeter Performance
Nine brands of commercially-available audio dosimeters were performance tested. Each unit was placed in an aneochoic chamber and subjected to various acoustic signals to measure its A-weighting response and overall interruption accuracy. All units met the A-weighting tolerance for type II sound level meters and four brands were within the Bureau's overall accuracy requirements of plus or minus 2 dbA referred to the input.
