Radial Gate Evaluation Angostura Dam, South Dakota
Angostura Dam, located on the Cheyenne River, in southwestern South Dakota approximately 7 miles southeast of the town of Hot Springs, was constructed from 1946 to 1949. The dam has a centrally located spillway controlled by five 50- by 30-foot radial gates. The features inspected were the five 50- by 30-foot radial gates on the dam spillway.
