City of Solon Master Plan, Development Code Review
Solon is a southeastern outer ring suburb of the City of Cleveland and has a 1970 population of 11,519. Much remaining developable vacant land is recommended for a variety of housing types and densities ranging from single-family to townhouse and garden apartments, so that the City should utimately reach a population of 41,000 to 42,000. The normal concepts are applied in the analysis of land use, population, community facilities and industrial area studies, while the Business Plan indicates future floor area demands in the City on the basis of a regional study approach. Transportation plans are based on a systems approach employing urban area data. The Housing Study uses a computerized housing file for the County as its source of base data. (Author)
