A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Main Street Project
Several years ago the National Trust for Historic Preservation developed the Main Street Program to assist small, primarily rural, communities to revitalize their downtown economic bases. The program has four major components: organization, promotion, design, economic restructuring. The goal of this project was to implement the Main Street Program in interested communities in western Idaho and eastern Oregon. Three communities (Nyssa, Oregon, and Cascade and Weiser, Idaho) opted to participate in the program.
