The proposed project is located on Federal Primary Route No. 23 (Alabama State Highway No. 79) at Pinson, Alabama. It would convert this segment of F.A.P. 23 from the present 2-lane highway with 24 feet of pavement and two 10-foot shoulders into a 4-lane highway with a 30-foot median. It is believed that an enhancement will be noted in many areas. No displacement of people is involved. Probable adverse environmental effects which cannot be avoided should the proposal be implemented are minor.
