The proposed project is on U.S. Highway 87 (designated as IH 27) and is located in the State of Texas, Lubbock and Hale counties, beginning at a point approximately 1.5 miles north of Monroe Overpass in Lubbock County and ending at a point 0.2 miles northeast of the north city limits of Hale Center in Hale County. Adverse environmental effects which cannot be avoided are the proposed project will displace 10 families composed of 29 individuals and one business establishment. (Author)
