A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The first residential photovoltaic systems built for the US Department of Energy's Solar Photovoltaic Residential Project will be designed and fabricated during 1980. These systems will be tested at the Northeast Residential Experiment Station in Concord, Massachusetts. Soon after these systems become operational, systems designed for the Southwest will become operational at the Southwest Residential Experiment Station in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In addition to the residential systems at the Residential Experiment Stations, DOE is supporting a small number of innovative system development efforts where unique circumstances promise early acceptance of photovoltaics. The status of each of these activities is reported. Innovative features of the various systems under development are emphasized and insights into future residential system development activities presented. (ERA citation 05:027123)
