The report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1987 American Housing Survey Metropolitan Sample (AHS-MS) for the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The AHS was designed to provide a current series of information on the size and composition of the housing inventory, the characteristics of its occupants, indicators of housing and neighborhood quality, and the characteristics of recent movers. The tables in the report are organized into six chapters. They are: statistics on the total housing inventory, including vacant units; statistics on total occupied housing units; statistics on owner-occupied housing units; statistics on renter-occupied housing units; statistics on occupied housing units with a Black householder; and statistics on occupied housing units with a householder of Hispanic origin.
