The project is a conventional urban renewal program proposing to clear and redevelop 141.7 acres of blighted predominantly residential land, close to and southeast of the Central Downtown Business District of Charlotte, North Carolina. The project area will remove 367 substandard and/or blighting structures to prepare for the construction of residences for low to middle income people.
