Project S-0851, Copper River Highway, Milepost 39 to Milepost 116, Alaska. Southcentral District
The addendum supplements the Copper River Highway draft Environmental Statement which was released for public review March 8, 1973, by the Alaska Department of Highways and cleared for circulation by the Federal Highway Administration on the same date. This addendum adds to the original EIS that assessment of impact from highway Mile 0 within the City of Cordova to and including Mile 39 of the Copper River Highway. The existing highway Mile 0 to 39 will have little if any additional environmental impact on the area when the section between Mile 28 and 39 is rebuilt and extended into a connecting link with the contiguous highway system. It is more probable to assume that there will be more beneficial impacts to this area than adverse upon repair and completion of the roadway.
