Investigation of Camber in Precast Concrete Bridge Girders
The following are the main objectives for the research project: To measure camber experienced by precast prestressed bridge girders during various phases of service life; To generate predicted camber in the studied girders through the FDOT beam program and Finite Element software; To investigate the differences between measured and predicted camber in precast prestressed girders; To experimental determine the distribution of prestresses losses in precast prestressed girders; and To make recommendations to the FDOT Structural Design Office regarding camber related issues.
