A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Project F-20(30), U.S. Highway No. 6, West Dodge Road, 114th to 164th Streets, Omaha, Nebraska. Douglas County
Proposed new construction includes: rebuilding West Dodge Road for the most part - overlaid wherever possible - into an urban four-lane divided highway with surfaced, curbed shoulders; interchanges at the intersections of West Dodge Road and 120th, 132nd, 144th and 156th Streets; rebuilding a 300 plus or minus foot section of Burke Boulevard at its junction with the proposed frontage road, west of Burke High School, to tie into the existing four-lane divided roadway; and extending Burt Street from the Richland Park apartment complex westerly to 120th Street. Median breaks at 114th Street, 150th Street and the entrance to Boys Town will facilitate left turn movements. A comprehensive summary of environmental impacts and adverse effects are defined.
