Analysis of Dissipation of Pore Pressures After Cone Penetration
The main objective of this study was to investigate the possibility of applying finite element method technique to uncoupled linear consolidation theory in order to determine the different aspects of pore pressure dissipation around piezo-cone penetrometers. The effect of different cone apex angles, soil anisotropy, location of piezometric element and the existence of a disturbed region around the cone constitute the major factors investigated.
