Representatives of the Federal Water Quality Administration and the Idaho Department of Health made an examination of the waste treatment and disposal practices at the National Reactor Testing Station (NRTS) near Idaho Falls, Idaho, during the period October 15 to 22, 1968. The purpose of the examination was to review and evaluate the existing waste management operations to determine whether any additional water pollution control systems or procedures are necessary or desirable to carry out the national policy to improve water quality.
