National Shoreline Study. Shore Management Guidelines
In 1968 the 90th Congress authorized a National appraisal of shore erosion and shore protection needs. Beach and shore erosion are recognized as a concern for all levels of government and for all citizens. This publication provides information to assist in developing and implementing shore management programs. This is a three-part presentation covering the municipal level, metropolitan-county level, multi-county level and State level in the first part; shore management procedure in the second part and the planning to improve management and engineering techniques is discussed in the third part.
