Urban Hydrological Modeling and Catchment Research in France
The report was prepared in support of International Hydrological Programme Project 7, 'Effects of Urbanization on the Hydrological Regime and on Water Quality.' This is the eigth of a special ASCE Urban Water Resources Research Program technical memorandum series of national state-of-the-art reports. Modeling and catchment research for French urban underground conduit drainage systems is emphasized. Design methods, including the use of design storms, are described. Two appendices are devoted to English translations of published articles in French on urban runoff drainage modeling and an extension of a design technique. Another appendix contains an English translation of a paper on a mathematical model of flow and pollutant propagation in drainage systems.
