A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The report includes the concrete design, construction, and subsequent inspections and evaluations of a wax bead impregnated concrete bridge deck on LR 22014 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The new wax bead concrete bridge was placed in one 7.5 inch lift, and was heated with electric heating blankets. The results of the inspections and cost analysis indicate that use of wax bead concrete for bridge decks is not feasible at this time.
