Acoustic Emission Monitoring of Fracture-Critical Steel Bridges
The objective of this project was to test and optimize an AE monitoring system to detect cracking in steel bridge components by calibrating the system to distinguish AE waves associated with fractures from waves caused by other factors. Other objectives included continuing to monitor bridge data and developing procedures for analyzing the data.
