A Tale of Two Cities 1914-1968. Homestead - Florida City
The report constitutes the inventory phase of a joint comprehensive planning program for the two participating cities. It identifies and analyzes their basic physical, social and economic components and points out their similar and dissimilar characteristics, as well as their rural uniqueness to the urban region in which they are located. This report is an educational document which defines and places in perspective each of the elements involved in an overall planning system, including population, housing, economy, land use, zoning, circulation, and community services. It is unique in urban planning studies, in that two projects were grouped into one program, due to the close interrelationship of the communities. (Author)
