The report identifies several information services that have been or are being developed within the Highway Research Board and the National Research Council. The Highway Research Information Service (HRIS) was developed during 1964-1967 with support from the Bureau of Public Roads and the State Highway Departments. The HRIS file now contains over 8000 notices of the world's highway research and development activities and over 20,000 abstracts of highway research publications. (Author)
